City of Mobile releases interactive downtown parking map Sep 14th, 2026 Posted in: Press ReleaseGeographic Information Systems Finding a place to park in downtown Mobile just got a little easier. The City of Mobile has launched a new online parking map designed to help residents, visitors and downtown guests quickly locate public parking and better navigate the city’s growing downtown district. The new mapping tool, developed by the City’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department, provides an at-a-glance look at nearly 2,000 marked, on-street parking spaces within the Hank Aaron Loop. The map also highlights the locations of seven public parking garages and 57 public surface lots, giving drivers more options when planning their trip downtown. With an easy-to-use, color-coded design, the map helps take the guesswork out of finding a place to park. Users can identify metered and non-metered spaces, as well as EV charging stations, bus zones, fire lanes and loading zones. The tool goes a step further by allowing users to pinpoint a specific area and see potential parking options within a designated radius — making it easier to find convenient parking close to a destination. Whether you're heading downtown for work, shopping, dining, entertainment or one of Mobile’s many community events, the new parking map puts helpful information right at your fingertips. The map is available in both a traditional website format and a mobile-friendly format, making it a convenient resource whether you're planning your trip from home or looking for parking while you're already downtown.
