A Pennsylvania woman is facing homicide charges after police say an argument about gun safety ended in a deadly shooting inside the family’s home. According to investigators, state police and emergency crews were called to a home on Mine 42 Road in Adams Township, Cambria County, on Sunday. When officers arrived, they found 40-year-old Bradley Freeman in the living room with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was later pronounced dead, WJAC said, Police said Bradley Freeman’s wife, 44-year-old Dawn Freeman, admitted she fired the shot. Investigators said she told them she became upset after seeing a 9mm handgun left out in the living room. According to court documents, she had repeatedly warned her husband about leaving firearms where children could potentially reach them, WTAJ reported. Authorities said Dawn Freeman told investigators she picked up the handgun during the argument, pointed it at her husband and pulled the trigger. Police said the bullet struck Bradley Freeman in the chest. Investigators said the couple’s son called 911 and performed CPR until emergency responders arrived. Court records show Dawn Freeman has been charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. She is being held in the Cambria County Prison while the case moves through the court system, The Tribune=Democrat reported.
