We are always OPEN to submissions.
(Our current reading response is ~12 months)
We release e-book and print formats. At a minimum, books should be 35,000 words in length, although we prefer 60-80,000 words; however, longer works are also considered. Do note that shorter works are considered for anthologies and works less than 50,000 words will be published in e-book format only.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please indicate as much in your query letter and let us know immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. No worries, we'll congratulate you!
We accept previously published works that are out of print and officially have their rights released from their previous publisher. Do understand that acceptance of previously published works means that they will go through the same editing processes.
We do not accept fan fiction that may have copy right infringement issues.
We pay competitive royalties.

-Send a standard query letter with your manuscript.
-Send a short synopsis (one-to-two pages).
-Your query letter should be pasted in the body of your email. Do not attach it to the email.
-We don't accept partial or unfinished manuscripts.
-Attach your manuscript to the email with your query.
-Please put QUERY SUBMISSION-LAST NAME, FIRST NAME in the email subject.
-Send queries to transmundanepress@gmail.com
MANUSCRIPT FORMAT:

-Provide a cover page with your name, title, word count, and genre.
-Ensure that scene breaks are clearly identified with ### or ***.
-Name the manuscript with LAST NAME, FIRST NAME & TITLE.
-Americanize (US English) spelling as much as possible.
Review this checklist before submission:
-Submit your best work possible, as polished as able.
-Give no more information than asked for.
-No first drafts. As Hemingway says, "The first draft of anything is shit."
-Get feedback, especially on your first novel.
-No head hopping, use one point of view per scene.
-Check for continuity errors.
In general, we look for crisp dialogue, believable characters, interesting premises, and fast-paced action. Entertain and educate. Readers like to learn while they're being entertained, so don't be afraid to teach your readers something.
Technical skill is key. If too many errors exist in the first few pages, it will be sent back. We POLISH your books, not correct errors that the author should have fixed in the first place.
We Do NOT Publish
Anything with pedophilia, which involves sexual situations between adults and children displayed in an erotic way. We are not interested in "barely legal" situations either.
Anything with necrophilia, which is sex with a truly dead body. If your vampires and zombies are having sex (with the living or each other), it better be lively.
Anything with bestiality, which is sex with animals. Sentient beings, shapeshifters, centaurs, etc. must be adequately anthropomorphized.
We are really not interested in reading about rape or incest.
